Who we are
Revax Technologies Limited (“Tallia”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 16559391), with registered office at 527-528 Salisbury House, 29 Finsbury Circus, London EC2M 5SQ, United Kingdom. This policy covers the Tallia service as a whole - the platform, the Tallia apps for Microsoft Teams and Outlook, our email channel, and this website.
We are the controller of the personal data we collect in our own right, such as enquiries made through this website. Where we process the content a firm sends us through the service, we act as a processor on that firm’s instructions, under the terms of our data processing addendum.
The Tallia service
Tallia answers UK tax questions with citations. A user asks a question in the web app, by email, or by mentioning the Tallia app in Microsoft Teams, and Tallia returns an answer citing the sources it relied on. Answers are AI-generated and are not reviewed by a person before they arrive.
To do that, the service processes:
- The question itself, and any document attached to it, so the answer can be researched and so a follow-up can continue the same thread.
- The asker’s work email address, read from their organisation’s own directory entry, used only to match them to a Tallia account and to the firm that licenses it. Someone with no Tallia account is not answered.
- The answer and its citations, filed against the asker’s account so they can reopen it later.
In Microsoft Teams, Tallia reads only the message that mentions it, or a message a user explicitly sends to it. It does not read a channel’s other messages.
Data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data through this website:
- Contact data - name, work email, firm, role - when you submit a demo request, download a resource, or contact us by email.
- Usage data - pages viewed, referring source, device type, approximate location - through our privacy-first analytics.
- Cookies - strictly necessary cookies only by default. See our cookie policy.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, demo request, or correspondence.
- To send service announcements and operational communications about an active engagement.
- To analyse aggregate website usage and improve content.
- To meet our legal, regulatory, and accounting obligations.
Lawful basis
- Legitimate interests - to respond to enquiries from prospective customers, to operate the website, and to communicate with users of our platform on operational matters.
- Performance of a contract - to deliver our services to firms that contract with us.
- Legal obligation - to comply with regulatory and accounting requirements.
- Consent - only where strictly necessary, e.g. non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Sharing and subprocessors
We do not sell personal data. We share personal data with the subprocessors listed in our subprocessor list, in each case for the purpose stated there. Each is bound by data processing terms at least equivalent to our own, including the commitment that customer data is never used to train AI models.
Retention
We retain enquiry data for the period reasonably necessary to respond and follow up, and for a period thereafter consistent with our record-retention policy. Customer data is retained for the term of the engagement and a defined period thereafter as set out in the master agreement. Beyond this we hard-delete in line with the commitments on our security page.
International transfers
Tallia runs as separate regional stacks. A firm on the European stack has its data held in Europe, and a firm on the United States stack in the United States; the two do not share an account or a store.
Where personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area - for example to a subprocessor in our subprocessor list, which states where each one processes - we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where the transfer is subject to UK law. The clauses that apply to a given transfer are available on request using the contact details below.
Your rights
You have rights under UK GDPR to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability. You can exercise these rights by emailing info@tallia.ai. We respond within one month.
Contact and complaints
Questions or complaints about this policy can be sent to info@tallia.ai. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
